The company is one of the UK\u2019s leading plastic milk bottle manufacturers and currently produces 2 billion bottles annually. Nampak leads the field in sustainable milk packaging through the inclusion of up to 30% recycled material (rHDPE) in all the milk bottles it manufactures in the UK and Ireland.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-2633\" title=\"Nampak\" src=\"http:\/\/ballymenachamber.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Chamber-of-Commerce-new-members-71.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"679\" height=\"509\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ballymenachamber.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Chamber-of-Commerce-new-members-71.jpg 679w, https:\/\/ballymenachamber.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Chamber-of-Commerce-new-members-71-300x224.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 679px) 100vw, 679px\" \/><\/p>\n<h6>Jonathan McDowell (Nampak Plastics), Thomas McKillen, Liza-Marie McEvoy (Nampak Plastics) and Alan Stewart<\/h6>\n<p>Nampak opened an in-plant \u2013 where plastic milk bottles are taken direct \u2018through the wall\u2019 from the manufacturing process to the dairy filling line \u2013 at Dale Farm\u2019s Pennybridge dairy in Ballymena in 2010. This facility also supports Nampak\u2019s development plans for sales to the wider market in Ireland. The in-plant facility has the capacity to make more than 100 million bottles a year. The project brings skilled jobs to the community and has created 23 jobs to date. The site achieved BRC\/ IOP and ISO 9001 standards after only 5 months production.<\/p>\n<p>Locating the bottle manufacturing and filling in the same location limits the need for transporting bottles and provides considerable reductions in carbon emissions<\/p>\n<p>Nampak\u2019s bottles are the lightest weight plastic milk bottles in the industry<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nampak Plastics specialises in the manufacture of high density polyethylene (HDPE) milk and juice bottles, primarily for the dairy industry.
