It\u2019s always great to see the mix of businesses at the awards, representing sectors from retail to manufacturing to services. And it allows Ballymena to showcase the best businesses and practices\u00a0to outside bodies perhaps looking to locate new businesses.<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I\u2019m glad to say that Chamber\u00a0had an excellent working relationship with Ballymena Borough Council over many years.\u00a0I look forward to this business focused approach continuing into the future\u00a0with the new Mid and East Antrim Borough Council\u201d.<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Mayor of Mid and East Antrim Borough Council, Councillor Billy Ashe said\u00a0<em>\u201cMid and East Antrim Borough Council has identified its top priority as growing the local economy. Central to this is supporting local businesses.\u00a0We are delighted to be the principal sponsor at this year\u2019s Ballymena Business Excellence Awards\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Chris Wales, who has been involved in the organisation of the awards for many years\u00a0added:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cPlanning is already well under way for this year\u2019s awards.\u00a0Once again Chamber will be employing Insight Mystery Shopping to carry out the judging and the Tullyglass House Hotel,\u00a0an excellent facility we are fortunate to have in Ballymena,\u00a0will\u00a0again\u00a0be\u00a0hosting the gala evening.\u00a0The date for this year\u2019s award ceremony is Thursday\u00a01st.
